Encino means "Oak" in Sapnish. This wonderful city is located in the central part of the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles County in sunny California. The city was established in 1845 and was named after Rancho Los Encinos (Ranch of the Oaks). At the begining of the 1800s the Spanish governement has abandoned the California missions and has given Rancho Los Encinos to three Mission Indians.
