Chatsworth is located on the north/west end of the San Fernando Valley just north of West Hills, west of Northridge and east of the beautiful Santa Susana Mountains.  Chatsworth was once home to a large numbers of Fernardeno and Chumash Indians prior to the European settlers moving into the area. The city was named after The Chatsworth House in England which was a home to Dukes of Devonshire. Chatsworth is a very diverse community with its makeup of different developments but it is mostly know for the beautiful hard to find acres of horse ranches and beautiful nature studded surroundings.  Not uncommon for you to see a horses tide to hitching post at one of the favorite local hangouts.
